Core Speech is a neurodiversity affirming practice and strives to ensure that every child is given the support and tools they need to Learn, Grow and Thrive in their lives.
My name is Emma, and I am Core Speech’s owner and qualified Speech and Language Therapist.
I have vast experience working with infants and children with a wide range of communication and feeding needs, including:
Speech and Language Delay
Speech Sound Disorder
Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia/ Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)
Down Syndrome
Cerebral Palsy
Autistic Individuals
Neurodivergent Individuals
After graduating from Newcastle University, I worked in the National Health Service (NHS) supporting children in their homes, nurseries, mainstream schools, and Special Educational Needs (SEN) environments.
In 2020 I embarked on an adventure and moved to Sydney, Australia, where I had the opportunity to expand my clinical skills and gain experience working in private practice. Here, the idea of Core Speech was born with the aim of bringing the skills and experience I had developed to enhance the lives of children and their families in Lancashire.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). I hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
