Core Speech is an Independent Speech and Language Therapy service providing assessment, therapy, and training/education to children, families, and schools across Lancashire (UK).

Core Speech is owned by Emma Sharrock, a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, with over 9 years clinical experience supporting children with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) and feeding difficulties.

Core Speech has experience in providing assessment and intervention to children and young people with a range of communication and feeding challenges including:

  • Finding the right words to express themselves

  • Using sentences to express thoughts and ideas

  • Speaking clearly and being understood by others

  • Speaking fluently

  • Engaging in social activities and interacting with others

Core Speech is a mobile Independent Speech and Language Therapy service based from Leyland (Lancashire, North West UK).

We provide mobile Speech and Language Therapy services to ensure that children receive the support they need to learn new skills and thrive in the environments that are important to them.

Visits can be provided to the following locations:

  • Family homes

  • Nurseries

  • Mainstream Schools

  • Special Educational Need (SEN) Settings

  • Community settings (e.g., parks, play centres)
